Join us in the spirited community space that is The Creamery of Kennett Square to explore the journey of coffee from seed to cup. Build your knowledge base on all things coffee, including a general understanding of coffee's history and origins, the coffee plant itself, basic methods of post-harvest processing, and more. Along the way,  experience brewed coffee samples that highlight the delightful complexity of this extraordinary plant. 

Enjoy a small bite and cocktail to round out the fun.

Russ Durfee

Russ Durfee is the Director of Coffee for Passenger Coffee & Tea, a specialty coffee roaster and purveyor of fine teas based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Approaching 15 years working in specialty coffee, Durfee has held various roles within the industry, from running busy bar shifts as a barista to working with green coffee importing companies and leading the roasting programs for numerous companies in the eastern US. He is a certified Q Arabica Grader and Assistant Instructor with the nonprofit Coffee Quality Institute, as well as a graduate student currently pursuing a degree in plant breeding with Iowa State University's Agronomy Department.
