Discover how Longwood transforms fall favorites from mums to pumpkins to foliage in our seasonal displays. Dive into the variety and depth of Longwood’s renowned chrysanthemum collection and how we use these mums for our world-class Chrysanthemum Festival each year. Then, venture beyond Longwood while Gercens presents some “far-flung fall favorites”, including spots to witness fall color at its most vibrant. Enjoy a delicious small bite and signature cocktail to round out the fun!

Karl Gercens

Karl Gercens is Longwood’s East Conservatory Manager, responsible for many of the changing displays in our indoor gardens. Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Gercens has worked at Walt Disney World in Florida and Filoli Estate in California to experience horticulture from coast to coast! Gercens has worked in the conservatory field for most of his life and has visited hundreds of gardens in all 50 states.
