Start in our Studios for an exploration of the history, design, and plant palette of the timeless evening garden. Discuss finding the right balance between evening flowers and foliage, and positive and negative space.

Then, take a twilight stroll through the West Conservatory, Orchid House, Silver Garden, and other inspiring spaces. While engaging with world-class plantings, consider how color, scent, texture, and inflorescence qualities all contribute to a compelling design.

Conclude with a container workshop in Longwood’s greenhouses, where you’ll craft your own moon-catching planting to take home and enjoy during summer and autumn evenings. You’ll also leave motivated to weave in what you’ve learned into your own garden or patio, whether it's an intimate or entertaining space.

Location

The Grove Studios 104 & 105, Throughout the Gardens
