Enjoy exclusive early-morning Gardens access—and your very own view of 1,000 white flamingos wading in the Chimes Tower basin, courtesy of Light: Installations by Bruce Munro—during this plein air watercolor experience. Start your class online as instructor Diana Heitzman offers tips and techniques for painting en plein air. Then, during the four-hour painting session—which begins a full two hours before the Gardens open to guests—capture the whimsical flamingo flock view, or the surrounding Hillside Garden and Chimes Tower landscape, all while listening to the tranquil sound of the waterfall. Heitzman will be on hand to provide individualized instruction during the painting session. While this plein air experience is focused on watercolors, those using other media may also attend.

Bring your own equipment—paints, brushes, easels, tools, etc.—in the medium of your choice.

Includes Gardens Admission for the day.

Inclement weather date Sunday, September 11.
