Discover the beautiful intersection between art and nature with our 2025–26 Floral Fun Series: Art in Bloom! Each month, explore the styles of a renowned artist or art movement and transform them into stunning floral arrangements. Let your creativity blossom as you learn, design, and bring masterpieces to life through flowers.
In September, immerse yourself in the contemplative world of Mark Rothko. Celebrated for his luminous fields of color and emotionally evocative compositions, Rothko’s work invites viewers to experience art through feeling rather than representation. In this hands-on floral design workshop, explore how color relationships, scale, balance, and atmosphere can be translated into floral form. Using carefully selected blooms and foliage, create an arrangement inspired by Rothko’s signature palettes and meditative aesthetic. This unique experience blends art appreciation with floral design, encouraging participants to express emotion and create beauty through the power of color.
