In this botanical art course, study the vibrant colors and eye-catching shapes of orchids to create a detailed piece showcasing the plant’s form and function. Begin online with artist and instructor Diana Heitzman as she discusses botanical art technique and strategy—then, join us here in the Gardens with your medium of choice and tools for an up-close study of live orchids from the Longwood collection and a hands-on artmaking experience. This class is intended for those with intermediate art experience.
