Evoke the tropics when you design your own orchid jewelry with Hattie Weselyk. Explore the techniques of jewelry making while learning what makes an orchid an orchid with the botanically accurate construction of two fine-art wearables crafted in copper using templates derived from specimens from Longwood’s collection. Hattie will also demonstrate an optional patina finish to your work using the power of oxidation. Follow along in two live-stream sessions as Hattie shares the process of creating works of art for you to wear or to give to your favorite horticulture enthusiast.
This course includes custom templates and supplies delivered to your home, three hours of live-stream video instruction (two 1.5-hour sessions) and three-month access to the recordings.
