Jeff Jabco

Jeff Jabco holds a M.S. degree in Horticulture and Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University. He is the Director of Grounds and Coordinator of Horticulture for the Scott Arboretum at Swarthmore College, previously taught botany in Longwood's Certificate of Merit in Ornamental Horticulture Program, and is also an instructor in Longwood's Professional Horticulture Program. He frequently lectures on plants, sustainable landscapes, and garden design. He is past president of the International Clematis Society and is a co-founder of the Mid-Atlantic Peony Society where he serves on the steering board. Jabco was named Teacher of the Year in 2009 by the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. He was awarded the Rutgers Gardens Hamilton Award in 2017. The Hamilton Award recognizes "an unsung hero, a quiet leader, or patient mentor in the field of horticulture".
