Gather the family to experiment with soil, moss, and string to create living pieces of art! Learn about Kokedama, the ancient Japanese practice of growing plants in moss balls. Each family member works with a soil mixture to cover the roots of their own resilient plant, wrap it with moss, and secure it with string or twine–resulting in a hanging plant perfect for any sunny window.
This workshop is designed for adults and children to learn together. $60 fee includes one adult (19+) and one child (ages 5-9). Additional guests may be added for $15, up to 8 people per party.
All materials included. Fee includes all-day admission to the Gardens on the day of the program.
