Reservations not required for Gardens Premium Members and Innovators

Guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs and place them in the turf area across from the Chimes Tower to enjoy the music.

 

11:00 am–1:00 pm: Chimes Tower Hours

Climb to the top of the Chimes Tower for a unique look at Longwood’s 62-bell carillon and a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape. Please note: This event is weather dependent and requires climbing steps.

 

1:45–2:00 pm: Avalon String Band

Delight in the lively sounds and sights of the Avalon String Band as bring Philadelphia Mummers energy to our Gardens, playing as they strut from the West Conservatory to the Chimes Tower and then playing a few songs in front of the Chimes Tower.

 

2:00–2:30 pm: Carillon Family Pops Program

Enjoy family favorites on the carillon played by Lisa Lonie.

 

3:30–4:00 pm: Carillon Fanfare and Other Musical Works

Carillon-meets-trumpet with songs played by carillonneur Janet Tebbel (May 23) and Lisa Lonie (May 24) and trumpet player Chris Gerhart of Galena Brass. Following the duet, experience solo selections played by carillonneur Doug Gefvert.

 

5:00–8:00 pm: Chimes Tower Hours
