Experience the height of spring bird migration while looking for species that are stopping over during their journey north.
Our outdoor gardens are a wonderful place to see birds, habitats, large specimen trees, and a diversity of plants that attract a wide variety of species. Along with seeing some special birds in bright breeding colors, learn identification tips including songs and calls. Finally, see what types of trees and shrubs various birds are using in order to get ideas for your home garden to make it more “bird-friendly.” Students are encouraged to bring their own binoculars to get the most out of this special experience.
Location
This program will take place partially or entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather and wear footwear suited for walking on uneven paths and through wet areas.
