Frequent heavy rain followed by long dry spells challenge gardeners to find plants that can thrive in such varied conditions. Carrie Wiles of North Creek Nursery shows you how to employ thoughtful design techniques and create a landscape well-suited to handle excess rain. Learn tips and techniques to employ both above and below ground and discover a myriad of plants that will work well in your landscape.

Registration includes 50 plants to create your own native garden at home.  The landscape-ready plugs will be shipped to your home in late May, after the threat of frost and just in time to root in for the summer months.  The plants will provide year-round interest with varied bloom times and interesting textures.

Due to shipping limitations, registration is only eligible for people in the following states: PA, NJ, DE, CT, MD, VA, and Washington DC.

The course also includes three-month access to the recording of the presentation.

This course counts as a horticulture technique requirement of the Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture.

K-12 educators registering to take this course will receive additional material on incorporating this content into their curriculum as well as Act 48 credit or a certificate of completion to receive professional development credits in their state of employment.
