Join The Flower Sommelier, Christopher Sheridan, in first exploring the Gardens to find inspiration in our spring display, and then creating two tussie-mussie bouquets—dainty and miniature floral arrangements highlighting fragrant flowers and herbs.
Popularized in Victorian England, tussie-mussie arrangements were popular gifts and often called upon floriography—the Language of Flowers—to communicate hidden messages. In this workshop, explore today’s tussie-mussie, which can be formal or informal, period design or contemporary, and use traditional posy flowers and native plants to create your own. You’ll leave with charming floral designs—one to keep and one to give as a gift, and an expanded design palette for your floral adventures.
