Join The Flower Sommelier, Christopher Sheridan, for an enchanting evening of fragrant flowers, floral design, and an exploration of the Victorian Language of Flowers, which was used to communicate hidden messages via tussie-mussie arrangements.
Start with an introduction to scented plants and then continue with a magical hour-long stroll through Longwood’s scented gardens, including our Rose Garden, and conclude with a design session where you’ll craft two posy-scale bouquets, one to keep and one to give as a gift.
Participants will select from a playful palette of classic cottage flowers and foliage for your designs, which can be formal or informal, period-inspired or contemporary, understated or avant-garde. You’ll leave with delightfully scented posies and an expanded design palette for your floral adventures.
