Blue-poppies in Bloom

Longwood Gardens forces Meconopsis 'Lingholm' to flower every year in March, producing large blossoms that average four inches in diameter. Blue-poppies are infrequently cultivated outside their native habitat, the high elevations of the Himalayan Mountains.

Upcoming Performances

Spikes of pale blue and light green blossoms rise up from green foliage and pale tiny white flowers along a gravel path amid tall thin evergreens in a glass house with low sunlight streaming through.
