Native Sunflowers in Bloom

The Meadow Garden boasts several species of native sunflowers (Helianthus spp.) that bloom in abundance during late summer and fall. The name Helianthus comes from the Greek words helios, meaning “sun,” and anthos, meaning “flower.”
