Registrations may be cancelled up to two weeks before the event, and your registration fee, less a $30 processing fee, will be refunded. Please note that refunds are not available for programs moved to scheduled inclement weather dates.

Explore the defining characteristics of cottage gardens, including layered plantings, abundant blooms, color combinations, texture, and informal design style. Delve into plant selection and design techniques for recreating the cottage garden aesthetic in containers suitable for patios, porches, and small garden spaces. Then, create your own cottage garden-inspired container to take home and enjoy throughout the season.

Katie Verdieck
Katie Verdieck is the designer and owner of her business "The Gardeness". She started the company in 2019 as a landscape design/install company but honed her focus to be on creating beautiful seasonal planters. She has a background in landscaping and design, a degree in fine arts from Tyler School of Art, and a Certificate of Ornamental Horticulture from Longwood Gardens.
