Expand and refine your floral design skills by exploring historical and international floral design. This course includes advanced linear, Phoenix, wire structures, grand tropical, and cascade or waterfall designs.
Techniques include basing, binding, banding, wiring, taping, and the use of chicken wire as you work with a wide range of flowers and foliage. During recorded lessons, our experienced instructor, Jane Godshalk AIFD, demonstrates the elements and principles of design while you work with increasingly challenging concepts and a broad variety of techniques and materials to create exceptional designs.
This virtual experience is completely self-paced and is a perfect way to continue your floral design journey with Longwood Gardens. Take advantage of this content in the luxury of your own home with six design modules that can be completed at your leisure with materials that you source.
Certificate Information
This course does not fulfill requirements of Longwood Gardens’ Certificate of Merit in Floral Design.
