Flowers have played a surprisingly influential role in human life—as symbols, sources of inspiration, and catalysts for connection. Brooke explores how they have shaped art, fashion, design, celebrations, and culture throughout history, revealing the many ways flowers extend far beyond the garden.

She also looks to the remarkable ways plants adapt, collaborate, and survive to consider what flowers can teach us about resilience, patience, adaptability, and finding beauty in difficult circumstances. Along the way, she offers a fresh perspective on our enduring connection to the natural world—and why flowers may have more to teach us than we realize.
