Using colorful wool and needle-felting techniques, you’ll build a three-dimensional holiday scene within a shadow box, layering fibers and details to create a finished artwork with depth and dimension. Sara will guide you through the process and share her expertise in transforming wool into expressive, sculptural designs. You’ll leave with your own one-of-a-kind holiday shadow box—ready to display or give as a handmade gift.

Instructor

Sara Renzulli

Sara Renzulli is a fine artist specializing in fiber art and 2D media from oil painting, to watercolors, to pastels. Starting with countless horse drawings and watercolors, Renzulli then discovered oil painting and spent twenty years painting rural life and portraits for galleries and private commissions. Needle felting came along for her in 2008 and Renzulli began to sell her small needle felted animals on Etsy. Soon, she realized there was demand for needle felting products and tutorials. Sarafina Fiber Art was born and is well renowned in the needle felting world for innovation, quality, customer service, and a spirit of sharing. Thanks to the exposure to fiber art, know how, and the equipment involved, Sara then developed her Cosset & Lock brand of silk and wool textiles. Cosset & Lock is truly a unique offering in design combining new fiber art techniques to create one of a kind throws and textiles.

Renzulli believes in the importance of creativity in our lives and that the Universe has room for all of it. The impetus behind her drive and is to share, create, and give back with a learning spirit and a sense of humor.
