Add some natural, green beauty to your home—with your very own, handmade portrait garden, reminiscent of a miniature green wall with living plants that burst out of a frame.
Join Longwood Horticulturist Clay Stradley for this fun, hands-on workshop during which you’ll learn tips and techniques for creating, designing, and caring for your framed garden. You’ll leave with your very own livingscape created from provided materials, to be mounted on a wall or propped-up on display in your home as your care for and watch it grow.
Location
Grove Studio 104; Grove Studio 105
Instructor
Clay Stradley
Longwood Horticulturist Clay Stradley cares for a large portion of our permanent tropical plant collection in the East Conservatory. With a master’s degree in plant taxonomy, he focuses on tropical plants and their care, previously serving as a tropical greenhouse manager for a local garden center. He loves container gardening and the ability it gives to try new combinations.
