Start your experience with an online orientation, during which we'll discuss the history of writers in nature (and nature in writing) and break down some myths about what constitutes "good writing."

Next, meet in person in the Gardens for a generative writing workshop, during which we’ll employ unique tools for honing our story ideas, learn how to break through creative blocks, develop new strategies for observation and descriptive writing, and practice writing creatively—all while deriving inspiration from the Gardens. Finally, meet back up online to share your writing. Students will have the opportunity to read their work aloud for the class, though participation is not mandatory. If we have extra time, we'll engage in additional writing exercises. All levels are welcome! No experience necessary.
