As autumn paints the landscape in brilliant shades of gold, amber, and crimson, deepen your bonsai expertise with an advanced workshop dedicated to the seasonal care of deciduous trees.
Designed for experienced practitioners, this hands-on program explores the critical techniques that support long-term health, structure, and beauty during the transition to dormancy. Participants will learn how to evaluate tree vigor, refine branch architecture, and apply strategic pruning methods that take advantage of the unique visibility afforded by fall foliage and leaf drop.
Guided by an expert instructor, you’ll also examine fall-specific considerations such as watering adjustments, fertilization strategies, pest and disease monitoring, and winter preparation. Through demonstrations and individualized guidance, discover how thoughtful autumn care lays the foundation for strong spring growth while enhancing the refined silhouette that defines exceptional deciduous bonsai. Leave with practical skills, seasonal insights, and greater confidence in nurturing maples, elms, beeches, and other deciduous species through one of the most important periods in the bonsai calendar.
Please note that this workshop is specifically designed for those with some prior bonsai experience.
