During this professional development opportunity held in the beauty of our Gardens, focus on nature-inspired engineering and how to implement PA Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) standards in your classroom, all while earning four Act 48 hours.
Dig into the learning possibilities of growing and caring for vegetable gardens in (and outside) the classroom. Gain practical ideas for how to get started with simple outdoor gardens, window gardens, and DIY hydroponics. Participate in hands-on activities that are classroom-ready to engage your students in three-dimensional learning with a focus on Environmental Literacy & Sustainability and Life Sciences standards.
