Each session focuses on specific orchid groups, including Vanilla, Paphiopedilum, Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, and even hardy native species, with in-depth discussion on how to identify and successfully grow them. Barb Schmidt
Barb Schmidt has been raising orchids for the last 20 years, maintains an orchid website at basorchidcare.com, and teaches orchid classes throughout the country. In 2023, the Taiwan Orchid Growers Association (TOGA) invited Schmidt to speak at the 2024 World Orchid Conference in Tainan, Taiwan. Currently, she is the Vice President of the American Orchid Society and the Chair of the Education Committee.
