With the end of the growing season upon us, it’s nearly time to put your garden to bed for the winter months. Join Chanticleer Assistant Horticulturist Katharine Startup online, and learn how to get ready for this seasonal slumber by taking the necessary pruning, editing, weeding, and soil-health steps. Explore how to take care of your non-hardy plants via seed saving, propagation, storage, and winter care, and discuss how to amplify your winter garden by enticing native pollinators and beneficials to seek refuge in your space during this time of year.
Registration includes three-month access to a recording of the session.
K-12 educators in the course will receive two ACT 48 credits or a certificate of completion to receive professional development credits in their state of employment. They will also receive material on how to incorporate the course content into their curriculum.
