Fee includes all-day admission to the Gardens on the day the class is onsite.

Registrations may be cancelled up to two weeks before the event, and your registration fee, less a $30 processing fee, will be refunded. Please note that refunds are not available for programs moved to scheduled inclement weather dates.

During this insightful and introspective workshop, express your connection and experience with nature while journaling about what you see and feel. Applying learned techniques, embark on a stroll through the autumn-hued garden to engage in a variety of activities and meditations to capture lasting nature observations.

This program will take place partially or entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather and wear footwear suited for walking on uneven paths and through wet areas.

Instructor

Kathy Andrzejewski

Kathy Andrzejewski earned a Horticulture Therapy Certificate from the Chicago Botanic Garden in conjunction with Oakton College. She obtained a certification as a Delaware Master Naturalist that was obtained through the University of Delaware and the Delaware Nature Society.  She is a member of the Mid Atlantic Horticulture Therapy Network. She utilizes her skill set in Longwood’s Engagement and Learning Department working with school groups, doing community outreach programs and teaching programs to share about the benefits of engaging with nature. Locally, she has delivered lectures and hands-on activities for participants of all ages to learn the benefits of connecting with horticulture. She is the owner of La Divine Designs, a custom floral design service that provides floral designs for weddings and other special events. Andrzejewski has provided instruction in floral design and assists in the Longwood floral department. Currently, she is offering a program “GatherIn” in her home-based work studio that gathers groups together to connect and create through a variety of nature-based crafts.
