We offer excellent professional opportunities to gain practical experience, learn career skills, and study in one of the world's premier display gardens.
Each intern specializes in one of our internship areas. We offer both yearlong and summer internships that begin in early June 2026. Yearlong internships are offered in Outdoor Landscapes, Greenhouse Production, Conservatory Display, Land Stewardship and Ecology, Conservation Horticulture, Plant Information & Mapping, Marketing & Communications, Display Design, and Plant Healthcare.
Ten-week summer internship opportunities are offered in Outdoor Landscapes, Conservatory Display, Land Stewardship & Ecology, Orchid Collections, Woody Nursery Production, and Arboriculture.
The program is open to current college students and individuals who have graduated within the past year and are legally able to work in the United States. All interns must have a valid driver's license. International students may visit Longwood's International Internship and Training Program.
