Longwood Gardens educators come directly to pre-kindergarten classrooms in the community to inspire 4- and 5-year-old budding horticulturists.
During this interactive program, our educators guide students to use their senses to explore a living plant, discover plant parts, and find out what it needs to grow. Students will sow seeds to nurture and observe growth right in their classroom.
What is included with the Traveling Seeds program?
All program materials and 40 minutes of classroom instruction with a Longwood educator. Each participating student will receive a return coupon to bring their family of up to five to the Gardens.
We are delighted to offer Traveling Seeds at no cost, keeping with our mission of bringing joy and inspiration to our community through the beauty of nature conservation and learning.
