The Gardens will close at 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, for all but Fireworks & Fountains ticketholders. Last entry for both Members and timed ticketholders is 4:30 pm. Fireworks & Fountains Show tickets for Saturday are sold out.
Expect minor delays on Route 1 near the Longwood Gardens entrance due to construction (Monday–Friday). Please plan accordingly.
Gain the design and drawing skills to create exquisite landscapes with ease through our Certificate of Merit in Landscape Design.
To earn the Certificate of Merit, the student must satisfactorily complete the following core courses, receiving a minimum grade of 70% in each course. Core course grades will be based on assignments, class projects, and participation. Elective courses will be graded on a pass/non-pass basis. To receive credit toward a Certificate, students must complete an assignment. Small class size ensures low student-teacher ratios. Please register early.
Sustainable Landscape and Design Theory (prerequisite required)
Three 6-week Certificate of Merit in Ornamental Horticulture courses

Each year, Longwood celebrates the accomplishment of our graduates! If you have completed the requirements for one of our Certificates of Merit, join us for a celebration on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. To check your eligibility, please use the Certificate of Merit Student Tracking Sheet or call 610.388.5454. If you are eligible to graduate, please send your completed tracking sheet to the Continuing Education Office or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Confirmed candidates will receive detailed information in the fall.
