Travel through both tropical and desert gardens located inside Longwood’s Conservatory and examine adaptations that these amazing plants exhibit for their survival.
Interact with an educator as you explore these survival adaptations through video and images and focus on live plants during this curriculum-based lesson. For grades 7–12; maximum of 35 students per program.
All virtual field trips are free of charge for K–12 schools. Programs are offered Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am through 4:00 pm Eastern Time from September through May. Advance registration (at least two weeks before program date) is required. Programs run 30–45 minutes. Schools must have a reliable internet connection or video conferencing equipment (H.323) to connect.
